The value of an arena in small-town Canada is hard to fully appreciate unless you’ve spent time in the rural part of the country. This story, by CBC’s Cameron MacIntosh, helps reveal that value. It’s the story of how Kindersley, Saskatchewan is coping with the loss of their rink to a fire. This was first aired as part of this year’s Tim Horton’s Hockey Day in Canda broadcast, and remains a favorite of mine and senior producer Mike Dodson.
